Nourished Guided Book Study

When it comes to parenting and food, many of us feel stretched thin. Picky eating, mealtime stress, feeling like you’re on a never-ending conveyor belt of snacks… and the lingering worry: are they getting enough?

This fall I’m hosting a Nourished book study, a journey into the heart of what it really means to nourish our children and all those we love.

What is Nourished?
Nourished, an award-winning book by Dr. Deborah MacNamara ,is more than just a book about feeding, it reframes food, caretaking, and attachment through the lens of developmental science, attachment theory, neuroscience, and the study of human emotion. It reminds us that feeding the body is inseparable from caring for the heart, and that a child’s ability to receive what we offer depends on feeling safe, connected, and seen.

By joining this book study, you will:
-
Discover how nourishment goes beyond food, and how caretaking and emotional connection support healthy development.
-
Understand what lies beneath picky eating, selective eating, or mealtime resistance. Why the road to the stomach must go through the heart.
-
Learn practical ways to reframe food and caretaking so that feeding becomes a source of connection, joy, and ease instead of conflict and frustration.
