…motherhood is a unique invitation for an ongoing metamorphosis, if we choose to accept it.

My Motherhood Journey

My longing to become a mother was a central calling throughout my life. During my first pregnancy, I was blessed to be immersed in a training with my teacher Thomas HĂĽbl. Beloved friends and skilled healers also introduced me to the work of Ray Castellino, a pioneer in the world of somatic perinatal psychology. I felt so fortunate to be supported and oriented towards fully opening to the transformational potential of pregnancy, birth, and early motherhood…

But I never felt at home in my mom’s group, where the focus was on nap schedules, baby gear, and bonding over our lack of sleep. Especially in the early years, it felt like we were relating to each other from this one, superficial dimension of motherhood. I craved deeper connections. I often found them with my friends who weren’t moms or had adult children, who had more time and space to go there with me.

I saw that motherhood is a unique invitation for an ongoing metamorphosis, if we choose to accept it.

Motherhood is the opportunity to heal, transform, stretch, bow down, surrender, fall apart and come back together, opening ourselves both physically and metaphorically to let life come through us.

How come mothers aren’t typically found dancing together around this cauldron of transformation?

The Sad Status Quo of Motherhood

Our culture sadly undersupports mothers throughout their motherhood journey, starting in pregnancy and continuing forward into birth, postpartum, and beyond. Ways to tap into the transformative potential of this creative phase of life are deeply lacking in the status quo of motherhood support.

As I slowly emerged from the nest of the first years of early motherhood, the call to offer support to other mothers became increasingly loud.

I heeded my calling to dedicate my life’s work to supporting women in the evolution of motherhood: in a motherhood and life journey that is supported, resourced, and healing.

I would love to live like a river flows, carried by the surprise of its own unfolding

My Background & Training

I am a holistic, integrative coach as well as a life-long student. My coaching work draws on a wide array of modalities, theories, and practices, including:

My in-depth training and practice as a Naturopathic Doctor (I graduated from The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine 2010) provides a unique foundation for my coaching practice. I worked as part of an interdisciplinary health team at a busy community health center in Berkeley, California, and the principles I put into play in that work—tending to the whole person, trusting and evoking the healing power of nature, and uncovering and tending to the roots of presenting symptoms—shine through in my coaching.

In essence, Dr. Neufeld’s work reveals how we get stuck in our development and how to create the conditions conducive for the unfolding of our potential. He offers a science-based model of making sense of children, so we have the eyes to understand them from the inside out, that not only supports one to be their child’s best bet but also encourages the growing up of us adults through tending to our children. I have completed the following rigorous trainings at the Neufeld Institute:

Integration and healing of personal, ancestral, and collective trauma
